Tele Atlas and LocatioNet provide Location Based Services solution for wireless carriers Gent, Belgium, and Wiesbaden, Germany, February 17, 2003 Imagine typing a short SMS on your mobile phone, sending it to a server, and in a matter of seconds you receive the exact location of the nearest hospital, pharmacy, bank/ATM, restaurant, police station, petrol station, post office, etc. On request, a user can also receive directions and even view a map of the route requested.
