Jerusalem Global Ventures Invests $2 Million in Onset Technology
Jerusalem, Israel - November 9, 2004: Jerusalem Global Ventures has invested $2 million in Onset Technology (www.onsettechnology.com). Onset Technology is the developer of METAmessageŽ for Wireless - a suite of unique software solutions that give business users access to virtually any data on their enterprise network using just a wireless device such as the BlackBerry Wireless Handheld from Research In Motion (RIM). Onset was founded in 1997 by Gadi Mazor and Ron Maor. The current investment by Jerusalem Global Ventures is an extension of the $1.75 million Series C financing round by existing investors including the Catalyst Fund, Polar Communications, the Challenge Fund, . and Manro Haydan. Following the investment, Dr. Shlomo Kalish, Chairman and Founding Partner of Jerusalem Global Ventures, will be joining the Company's Board of Directors. Since its introduction in 2001, METAmessage has been widely adopted by a diverse group of Fortune 1000 companies, government agencies, and a range of large service organizations. The software of Onset Technology is broadly compatible with virtually all wireless devices and servers including those from strategic partners Nokia, Microsoft, and RIM. Onset is one of Deloitte Technology Fast 50 companies for the last 3 years, and in the last program was ranked 9th. Onset and Onset's products have won several awards as "Innovator 2000" award at Intel Tech Summit, October 2000; and Best of Show, "CommWebbie," and CT Media Olympiad at CT Expo, March 2000. Onset Technology's headquarters are situated in Santa Cruz, California with an R&D center in Israel. The company employs 40 employees worldwide.
